How to sell a link:
paste, price, share.
linklck puts a paywall on any link or text content. You don't build a store or design a checkout. You take the thing you already have, put a price on it, and share one URL wherever your audience already is.
Three steps, thirty seconds
Paste your content, or write it
Drop in the URL you want to paywall: a shared document, a file download link, a private page. Or skip the link entirely and paste the content itself as text or markdown. Add a title and a short description that buyers will see before paying. This preview is your sales page, so make it specific.
Set your price
Choose anything from $5 to $500. There's no fixed per-transaction charge deducted from your share, so a $5 quick-reference sells just as cleanly as a $200 bundle. When you publish, linklck generates a short, non-guessable URL (something like linklck.com/firehorse47) and encrypts the content behind it.
Share the URL and get paid
Put the link in your bio, a post, a newsletter, or a DM. Buyers pay by card through Stripe's secure checkout and see the content right away, no account required on their side. 85% of every sale is credited to you (flat 15% platform fee, processing included), and payouts go to your bank through Stripe.
What you can put behind a paywall
If it fits in a link or a block of text, you can sell it. The sellers doing best on linklck sell one focused digital product to an audience they already have:
Notion templates
Paywall the duplicate link to a template, dashboard, or planner.
Study notes & exam packs
Sell your own original notes, cheat sheets, and summaries.
AI & ChatGPT prompts
Paywall a prompt pack as a text block or a doc link.
Code & boilerplate
Sell access to a snippet, gist, or starter-kit download.
Presets, LUTs & beats
Paywall the download link to your pack or stems.
Guides & documents
PDF guides, checklists, swipe files, research summaries.
What your buyer sees
A paywall only works if paying is easier than looking for a free alternative. The buyer flow is deliberately short:
- They open your link. They see a clean unlock page with your title, description, and the price. Nothing else: no ads, no signup wall.
- They pay with Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe's secure checkout (with 3-D Secure where required). linklck never sees or stores card numbers.
- The content unlocks. The link or text is revealed on the same page within seconds, and their access token stays valid for 24 hours. There's no email to dig through and no account to create.
Every URL is scanned with Google Safe Browsing before it can be published, and buyers can report any link. Buying through a linklck URL stays trustworthy, which protects your conversion rate too.
Common questions
How do I put a paywall on a link?
Sign up for linklck, paste the URL you want to protect (or write the content directly as text or markdown), set a price between $5 and $500, and publish. linklck generates a short branded URL like linklck.com/firehorse47. Anyone who opens it sees a preview and a price. The destination stays hidden until they pay.
Can I sell text and documents, or only links?
Both. You can paywall a URL (a shared doc, a download link, a private page) or paste the content itself: plain text, notes, a markdown document. Buyers see it rendered on the unlock page right after paying, with no extra hosting on your side.
Do buyers need an account to pay?
No. Buyers land on the unlock page, see the title, description, and price, and pay by card through Stripe's secure checkout (3-D Secure is supported). The content is revealed within seconds of payment. There's no signup and no email confirmation loop.
What does it cost me to sell a link?
Nothing up front. linklck has no monthly fee and no listing fee. A flat 15% comes off each successful sale, so a $10 sale credits you $8.50. Payment processing is included in that 15%, and payouts go to your bank through Stripe.
How fast is a link live?
About 30 seconds from signing up. There is no storefront to design, no product page to configure, and no approval queue for standard content. Paste, price, publish, share. URLs are automatically scanned with Google Safe Browsing at submission for buyer safety.
Can buyers just share the unlocked content?
Each unlock grants a personal, non-transferable 24-hour access window tied to the buyer's browser, and redistribution is against the buyer terms. Like every digital-goods platform, linklck can't make content technically uncopyable, but non-guessable URLs and per-buyer unlock tokens keep casual sharing to a minimum.
